Compare Laptops to Desktops
by balwinderbadwal96 on Feb.02, 2010, under Uncategorized
laptops have intergrated keyboards and a screen.theyalso have a touch pad that allows you to control the point where as you have a mouse and a keyboard on a desktops that can be inserted into the usb slot or into a port that lets the devices function. a Laptop is portable where as a desktop is not.

the laptop doesn not have a base unit and has a much smaller motherboard where as the desktop has a base unit and a much bigger motherboard. The components are smaller for the laptop so they can fit in the case
A laptop can run on AC power or rechargeable battery they also support hot swappable drivers and peripherals for example: Memory Stick, Cards and other Devices.

Because Laptops and Desktops are built different these means many parts are different for both of the source meaning the parts cannot be interchangeable, and the Desktop has many different slots on the motherboard that can be occupied by a card whilst the laptop only has 1 or 2.
