Chapter 7 How To Install A Printer

The first step is to go onto the internet and type in Lexmark then pick the page this is the one you’ll need.

Then go to the downloads page and pick the one of your choice ( in this case x3350 ) and wait for it to download.

Then you’ll have to choose to share printer or not and to choose to connect then you’ll have to agree to the terms and conditions and then you can finally install.

 After this you’ll have connect the computer and printer using a USB cable.

 After you go through that you will see this pop up onto your screen.

Then connect the power cable/cord.

after all the cables are sorted put the paper and do a test print.

And thats how to install a printer!

I’m going to start with an introduction this post is a review of chapter six which is about laptops PDA’s Smartphone’s and desktops.

WARNING! : If you want kids do not put a laptop on your lap because it reduces your sperm count because of all the heating.

1979 was when we first made a portable computer called the grid compass, it was used in NASA.Then in 1988 they brought out the Compaq SLT/286 now at first when this came out it cost a staggering $5399. Then in the year of 1991 the Macintosh 100 this is the computer that gave us our modern time look. Laptops are designed and built they have wireless internet, long battery life, fast performance and a small compact design. At first they was really big + they were super expensive but now they are smaller and capable of more with the new technology.

Now times people are using PDA’s these are bigger phones that are capable of much more also there are iPod touches which are a PDA they are basically mini computers with a touch screen there is also the iPhone which is a phone version of the iPod touch the difference is the iphone gets internet from anywhere and it has a camera and a mic to take your calls.

Now there is also the blackberry’s these are also PDA’s these are now a big bit of competition with apples iPhones now! When phones came out in 1980 they were massive but now with reduced size they cost less + they are also capable of more same as the laptops. At first when phones came out they were 1G now we have 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4G phones. Now these phones are used by people of the ages from around 10 to as old as you get.

Now for the differences between the desktops and the laptops, lets state the obvious the laptops are obviously more portable than the desktop computers because with laptops you can put them in a case and carry them around and the desktops you’ll have to carry the desktop then have to connect it to a monitor and bring all the sound systems. With a modern day  laptop all you need to start surfing the net is the actual laptop and a in range wireless router although now you can get a memory stick that when you plug into the laptop gives you memory and wireless internet.

Another thing that’s better about the laptops compared to a desktop computer is the size difference; a laptop is so much smaller. One thing that’s better about a desktop computer is that it doesn’t have battery so you could stay stationary all day if you wanted because an average laptop battery only lasts around 3-4 hours if you have it on balanced power settings.

Now one of the major differences is the motherboard, the motherboard for the desktop computer is a square/rectangle because it just fits straight into its plastic cover but the laptop in a strange shaped motherboard the reason for this is because the laptops floppy and CD drive is on the same level because of how thin it is so it is still a square/rectangle.
