there are different types of scanners. people use different types of scanners for different types of jobs, for instance, shops use a type of scanner to scan bar codes on object for sale.
examples of scanners:
flatbed scanner, drum scanner, handheld scanners(for the example above), all in one scanners.
in this blog i will say how to set up a lexmark X3350 printer
Step 1:
retrieve the printer and connect leads to computer
Step 2:
go onto a website and download correct program to set up
Step 3:
connect the printer to the software
Step 4:
print test page to make sure it is connected properly
Step 5:
turn the computer off then on again to see if it is still working properly.
today i have learnt about the different types of printers and the TCO (total cost of ownership).
we have looked at the three main types of printers, laser printers, ink jet printers and dot matrix printers.
Printers use only four colours, CMYK (cian, magenta, yellow and black K= key(black).)
laser printer
laptops started out in the late 1970′s and where big and weighed allot . As they started to make more laptops they started to get smaller and allot lighter and compact. By now they are making them small with a big screen some are 17″ and above.
There motherboards are allot smaller than desktop motherboard. It is shaped for certain shapes of laptops. There are many different mobile devices like smart-phones, mp3(4+5),PDAs etc. all of these are examples of handheld(portable) devices.laptops use ac power leads to charge the battery.if you want a laptop now days you will be looking at £200-£800.
when laptops first came out you would be looking at £1000-£3000. As laptops got older from the 1970′s thet got smaller and very cheaper.
Certain laptops boot faster than desktops but some desktops boot faster than laptops.

WAP phone
smart phone
cell phone.
1G=standard name for 1G : nordic mobile telephone, advanced mobile phone system.replaced wired telephone.
2G=standard name for 2G: global system for mobile communication, GSM and IDEN.
the forst cell phone were brought out in the 1980s. they were very the main only thing it could do is ring people
old phone
the latest phone are very small and compact, they can txt ring and some have email. also on some you can download music and video. some have a touch screen or keypad.
laptop comparison to a desktop:
a laptop mother-board is much smaller than a desktop motherboard
laptop is much smaller and portable with an ac power cable but a desktop is a only a wall plug power. laptop is 1 whole object but a desktop has a moniter and base unit.
