Laptops Vs Desktops

Laptop
These appliances are small in size because they are built to be portable but have the same easy user interface as a desktop PC, to make this possible components would have to be integrated or would have to have their shape and size change in order for the laptop to have the same basic functions and more or a desktop computer. In comparison to a desktop computer a laptop has a an integrated display screen in the lid, an intergrated keyboard in the base, and can also support hot-swappable drives and peripherals. Inside a laptop has a smaller mother board that has been changed to fit inside the laptop ( a certain motherboard would be constructed for a certain laptop).
Desktops
Desktops would normally be used as a stationary home or work appliance because a desktop PC would have a base unit a desktop PC would have basic function and peripherals but the components within the Desktop would have more potential than a Laptop e.g the memory within a desktop may be larger than the memory of a laptop.
A Desktop would have peripherals that would be supported with both the laptop and the desktop, for example a USB device can be supported by both the Desktop and laptop.
